Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
Ready on day one. Locked out on the last.
We set up every new hire's laptop, accounts and apps before they start, walk them through it on their first day, and remove access the same day someone leaves. You just tell us who and when.
The problem
Growing means hiring. Hiring shouldn't mean IT chaos.
A new hire shows up excited to start and spends their first two days waiting for a laptop, a password or access to the tools they need. Meanwhile, the person who left last month may still have access to your email, files and client data, because no one had a checklist.
When you're adding people regularly, onboarding and offboarding can't be a scramble. It needs to be a process someone owns.
First impressions and last access both matter. We handle both.
How onboarding works
From offer letter to fully working, handled.
- STEP 1
You tell us who and when.
Send the new hire's name, role and start date, ideally 10 days ahead.
- STEP 2
We set up accounts and apps.
Email, file access and every app their role needs, with the right permissions, nothing more.
- STEP 3
We prepare their device.
A laptop is configured, secured and encrypted, then ready at their desk or shipped to their home.
- STEP 4
We welcome them on day one.
A day-one onboarding call walks them through signing in, security basics and how to get help.
- STEP 5
They're working by lunch.
No waiting on IT. No borrowed passwords.
How offboarding works
When someone leaves, their access leaves with them.
Same-day access removal. Email, cloud apps and shared files are locked the day they go, including apps your team signed up for on their own, which our app discovery finds.
Nothing gets lost. Email and files are preserved and handed to the right person, so client work doesn't disappear.
Device retrieval. We get the laptop back, whether they worked in the office or remotely, then wipe it and store it for the next hire.
A clean record. Every step is documented, which helps with audits, insurance and peace of mind.
Device lifecycle, included
We handle the hardware, too.
Buying, setting up, storing, repairing and retrieving laptops is part of our service. New hires get a ready device. Departing staff return theirs. Broken laptops get repaired or replaced without you making the calls.
What clients say
FAQs
Common questions.
How much notice do you need for a new hire?
Ten days is ideal. That gives us time to order or prepare a laptop and set up every account. For rush starts, tell us right away and we'll do everything we can.
Do you buy the laptops?
Yes. We source, set up and manage devices as part of our device lifecycle service, or we can set up equipment you already own. Hardware itself is billed separately from your monthly plan.
Can you onboard remote employees?
Yes. We ship a ready-to-use laptop to their home and handle the day-one call by video.
What happens to a departing employee's email and files?
We preserve them and give access to whoever needs it, such as their manager, before closing the account.
Is onboarding and offboarding included in managed IT?
Yes. It's part of every managed IT plan, along with device lifecycle management.
